For renting a car in Punta Cana, you'll need:
- A foreign passport with an entry stamp no more than 3 months old.
- A valid national or international driver's license.
Credit cards are not required, but you can use them for payment. We accept VISA and MasterCard. Please note that American Express cards are not accepted.
Yes, a $200 deposit is required for all cars except luxury or exotic vehicles.
We offer a wide range of payment methods, including cash in USD, pesos, Canadian dollars, and British pounds. The deposit for the car can only be made in cash, but there is an exception: you can pay the deposit by card, but the refund will be issued in cash in USD. If you don't see your preferred payment method or are not satisfied with the provided options, please contact us, and we will try to find a convenient solution for you.
Taxes are included. However, when paying by card, a payment system fee (around 5%) is additionally charged. Payment is also made in the local currency, Dominican pesos, at your bank's internal exchange rate.
The rental price includes basic insurance that only covers the driver's liability to third parties but not damage to the car. You can purchase additional insurance, which covers damage to the car; however, the renter is responsible for paying for the time the car is in repair (this is why the deposit is required).
We do not limit mileage. However, please note that the cars are equipped with GPS sensors that track, among other things, speed violations. In case of severe speeding or other legal violations by the renter, the contract may be terminated unilaterally. Additionally, clients must inform us if they are heading towards Haiti, as crossing the Dominican Republic border with our cars is strictly prohibited.
